IE Helps CABE Win Award By 'Making Better Places'
Innovate Educate’s ability to produce exciting, inspirational websites helped to win an award for client CABE (Commission for Architecture and the Built Environment) this year: the organisation’s Making Better Places web resource, designed by IE, won a silver in the Geographical Association’s annual awards.

Making Better Places is aimed at Key Stages 4 and 5. It uses plans to redevelop a shopping centre in Oxford to encourage students to consider the issues that relate to developments in their own local built environment, and which are often directly relevant to their lives.

Focusing on design, citizenship and geography, the web resource (also available on CD-Rom) provides handouts, video clips, photography and comprehensive teachers’ notes to involve students in a fascinating exploration of their surroundings.
